The Teamaker’s Private Reserve Darjeeling Black Tea leaves a lovely floral touch that perfectly rounds off its elegant and gentle nature, creating a drink that’s both bright and soothing, complete with that signature musky sweetness.

Tasting Notes & Distinctive Features
The Teamaker’s Private Reserve is an eclectic collection of rare, fine teas, each handpicked by Merrill J. Fernando, Founder of Dilmah, to represent the finest in tea.

The most majestic amongst Indian Teas, Darjeeling Tea is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is composed of leaf that is light brown, flecked with olive green. When infused, the leaf evolves into an olive infusion with coppery brown hues and a beautiful aroma. The leaves yield a golden orange liquor that offers a bright yet mellow tea, with the characteristic muscatel note. A lingering floral finish complements the elegant and gentle tea and its unique personality.

About the Origin

Darjeeling, India
The Gielle Tea Estates are a real highlight in Darjeeling, named after the lovely Gielle stream. These gardens started with carefully chosen China bushes, planted with lots of love and care. What makes them stand out is their amazing spot – they’re on these cool, sunny hills that go from 2500 all the way up to 6500 feet above sea level, making them the highest around. Blessed with cool mists, bright sunshine, and the fresh breezes from the Kanchenjunga, this is where the famous taste of genuine Darjeeling tea comes from.
